Marion Marshall Jewellery needed a custom website that reflected the modern and clean and friendly aesthetic of the business. The old site was ranking poorly on Google and operating slowly, and they didn’t have access to the old site to keep it updated. AWD Digital developed a website that reflected the boutique brand values, appeared modern and was scalable to grow with the business.

Marion Marshall Jewellery are a family-owned business located in Fitzroy North, Melbourne. They specialise in handcrafted jewellery pieces with unique, custom design and technical high standard craftsmanship. They offer a collaborative design process and work with customers to organise jewellery to their desired specifications. Marion Marshall Jewellery also offer jewellery remodelling, repairing, and restoring services for existing pieces that are damage or customers would like to be updated.

Creating a personal experience

AWD Digital really aimed to highlight the personal experience offered by Marion Marshall Jewellery with their business model, emphasising the about page and introducing more detail so the website truly felt family run, human and personal rather than operated corporately. We wanted to highlight the craftsmanship of the pieces themselves, keeping the website clean and light to let the imagery of the rings, necklaces and other work stand out and contrast.

Built from the ground up

Marion Marshall Jewellery did not have access to their existing website, so whilst we could reuse elements and ideas from it, the entire website development and back-end had to be redesigned and reorganised from scratch. However, this led to a more purposeful design and optimised website result. Marion Marshall Jewellery now has a modern, fast, and engaging webs­ite.
